All services are taking place as planned on Sunday 5th February as at 0745.
Special services in February 2012:
On Sunday February 5th at 4pm a special service to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of the Accession to the Throne of Queen Elizabeth II will be held at St Aidan`s Church Thockrington with light refreshments served at Carrycoats Hall afterwards by kind invitation of Mr and Mrs Burn. All warmly welcome.
Messy Church at Barrasford Village Hall on Saturday 18th February at 3pm
Shrove Tuesday (February 21st) pancake races, Gunnerton Field at 4.30pm followed by family meal in church. (More details to follow.)

HC = Holy Communion, a simple service with three hymns, a short sermon and time for prayer and reflection.
SC = Sung Communion, a service with four or five hymns, a short sermon and time for prayer and reflection.
FC = Family Communion, a shorter family friendly service for all the family.
1662 = a service of Holy Communion from the Prayer Book with three hymns, a short sermon and time for prayer and reflection, offered at Thockrington usually once a month.
Evensong = A said service from the Prayer Book to bring the day to a quiet end. Offered at Birtley once a month from April to November.

Hadrian Awards 2007
Gunnerton Church has been given a prestigious Hadrian Award. Hadrian Awards celebrate and promote the best in architecture and design of the built environment in the North East and Cumbria.
To be selected for an award, schemes must meet a number of criteria, including being fit for purpose, and be an innovative trail-blazer. Both these aspects of the Award and more have been met.
The award is a tribute to Vincente Stienlet of Gosforth, our architect, who was sympathetic to the heritage of the church, the needs of the congregation and the community.
